Role Overview:
As a Qualified Short Term Insurance Salesperson, you will be responsible for generating new sales and offering comprehensive insurance solutions that meet client needs. You will leverage your industry knowledge and sales expertise to drive growth and achieve targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Outbound Calls:
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to promote and sell products or services.
- Follow up on leads and inquiries to convert them into sales opportunities.
Customer Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication and active listening.
- Identify and understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Sales Techniques:
- Utilize persuasive sales techniques and negotiation skills to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Handle objections and provide satisfactory solutions to potential customer concerns.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the products or services offered and stay updated on any changes or new offerings.
- Communicate the features and benefits of products effectively to customers.
Record Keeping:
- Accurately record and update customer information and interactions in the CRM system.
- Track and report on sales metrics and performance.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of sales strategies.
Compliance:
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations related to telesales and customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in short-term insurance sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Certification: Must meet all Fit and Proper requirements, including have completed:
- Re 5 examination
- Class of Business certification
- Relevant short term insurance qualification (Beneficial)
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of short-term insurance products and market trends.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems and insurance sales software.
