Key Responsibilities
Automation of Life Assurance Processes - Provide input into underwriting aspects and documenting of underwriting solutions; Testing of the software and functionality aspects of our automation software; Calibration and testing of underwriting solutions; Ongoing maintenance and query support for solutions implemented.
Business Development – Support discussions with potential clients, help with preparation of presentations; Assist in configuring the solutions and automated system specific to client needs; Document, record and monitor interactions and client queries and requests.
Business Management - Practice good note-taking and record keeping of internal & client meetings; Provide relevant and timely feedback to all stakeholders; Ensure that documentation & processes are aligned to best practice standards and records are kept in a logical manner.
Data Analytics and Reporting - Provide feedback and reports on the various systems, processes and procedures; Develop standardised reports and reporting tools and databases, in order to ensure that management is kept well informed of any development in the Unit; Provide ad-hoc data analysis to support decision making.
You come equipped with
• Degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field (honours preferred)
• 0 – 2 years' working experience
• Technical insights with interest in technology
• Essential computer skills – Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
• Preferred computer skills - R, Python, Power BI, SQL and VBA
• Experience within a life insurance or reinsurance environment is beneficial
• Patient and willing to stick it out due to a broad learning curve
• Good English communication skills verbal, written, and able to follow instructions
• Excellent time management and can prioritise effectively
• Independent learner and must be willing to try things in isolation
• Inquisitive and have the ability to articulate opinions and insights
• Resilient and willing to adopt to the team ethos and high standard of delivery
