Compliance Management
- Supervise and ensure 100% compliance with legislation and industry standards within the industry.
- Monitor and establish processes for checking compliance in line with cidb standards.
- Monitor correct implementation of standard operating procedures.
- Supervise that quality standards are met and any necessary submissions meet strict deadlines.
- Monitor and manage the enforcement of HR standards, legislation, and regulations.
- Participate in the assessment of cidb future project plans to identify possible compliance risks.
Oversee Registrations
- Supervise that registrations are done according to established processes, standards, and timeframes.
- Supervise and evaluate that accurate data or statistics regarding registration caseload management is provided.
- Supervise that registers are created and maintained.
- Monitor and evaluate that a timely and service-oriented approach is taken towards all requests, applications, and enquiries received via multiple channels of contact from all stakeholders.
Oversee Regulation in the Construction Industry
- Support the manager in ensuring the effectiveness of the implementation of policies, programmes, regulations or legislation in the construction industry.
- Participate in the regulations amendments process.
- Support the manager in the facilitation of communication between construction industry stakeholders, all spheres of Government and statutory bodies.
Operational Planning
- Provide input into the formulation and development of plans for the unit in consultation with the manager.
- Supervise the implementation of relevant policy and procedure.
- Supervise implementation and monitoring of relevant strategic plans and operational plans.
Risk and Financial Management
- Identify and manage risks in the area of responsibility.
- Support the manager for timely budgeting, monitoring, variance analysis and reporting.
- Support the manager in ensuring that Procurement Planning takes place, that specifications are developed timeously and that there is compliance with supply chain prescripts.
- Supervise the Unit’s assets are managed, maintained and kept safely.
- Evaluate and monitor unit expenditure within his/her purview.
People Management
- Support the manager in ensuring the performance of subordinates in accordance with the policies and procedures of cidb.
- Monitor the development of Personal Development Plans for subordinates and the implementation.
- Discipline subordinates as and when necessary, in accordance with cidb policies and procedures.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Educational Requirements: Relevant qualification in Business Administration/ Management at NQF Level 6.
Experience: (3 to 4) years of administration. A driver's license will be a requirement. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
