Job Description
The Sales Administrator acts as the first point of contact with the customer, portraying professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer relationships and supports the Account Managers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Order processing
- Effectively and timeously deal with telephone and email requests for quotations.
- Ensure all quotations are followed up as necessary.
- Ensure all orders received are entered onto the system timeously and accurately within customer credit terms and limits.
- Tactfully inform customers of overdue/exceeded accounts as necessary.
- Liaise between warehouse/logistics and customers to proactively keep customers informed and updated on their orders.
- Update Sales Order Follow Up sheet for ongoing follow-up on all open Sales Orders until completed.
- Facilitate and oversee the credit note process.
- Determine and communicate customer back orders for items included on incoming orders/shipments.
- Process and send out monthly recurring invoices for applicable services and/or customers.
- Respond to email and telephonic inquiries within stipulated periods.
- Have a solid understanding of the products to confidently advise and assist customers.
- Ensure that the Sales Orders are complete and up to date on Acumatica.
- Ensure that the Credit Notes are loaded and completed.
- Ensure that the Quotations are followed up and completed on Acumatica.
- Contact and build relationships with new customers.
- Maintain an agreed level of proactive telephone contact with both existing and new customers.
- Ensure that all customer complaints, issues, and queries reach a successful conclusion.
- Achieve a Customer Satisfaction Survey score of at least 4.5.
- Maximize sales by continually upselling and promoting promotions on all sales calls and emails.
- Achieve team and individual sales targets as set by the Management Team within the agreed time scale.
- Meet and exceed the agreed specific performance objectives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
- Must be proficient in English and Afrikaans.
- Completed Matric.
- Completed Qualification in Sales & Marketing.
- Own reliable transport with a valid driver’s license.
- Experience in sales and sales administration – 3 years.
- Experience in the IT/Networking/Internet Industry is beneficial.
- Professional and confident in conduct and communication.
- Telephone and email etiquette.
- Client-driven with attention to detail.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Proactive and good listener.
- Analytical mindset.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn new things.
- Respectful and honest.
- Culturally and politically aware.
- Flexible and demonstrates sound work ethics.

- Self-starter (does not need full-time supervision).
Package & Remuneration
The Position: We’re looking for an IT Sales Administrator to be based permanently in Centurion. The pay range on offer is R16,500.00 to R20,000.00 CtC Package Per Month.
