A reputable Roofing company based in Roodepoort that does professional installations from small patios to large factories and buildings, has an opportunity available for an experienced Junior Site Manager to join their growing team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties among others but not limited to include:
- Build roofs and carry out repairs to ridge, valley, eaves, gutters and sheet roofing.
- Manage resources for the project from start to finish.
- Supervise and direct staff working on the project.
- Enforce safety measures and company regulations and obtain required licenses and permits.
- Administration e.g. Safety files.
- Supervise the work of contractors contributing to the project.
- Responsible for all goods delivered on site and at the office.
- Ensure that all invoices are kept after purchase and submitted to Operations Manager.
- Accurate, effective and efficient project document control and record management.
- Be handy (especially welding) and have the ability to assist and complete work.
- Complete the Vehicle Checklist before departure on a daily basis.
- Transports personnel to and from the job, collects and delivers materials from suppliers to the job site.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ proven working experience in Building/Roofing, Damp Treatment Process and Maintains – Essential
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience – Essential
- Must be Fluent in Afrikaans and English - Essential
- Knowledge of building structures - specifically roofs.
- Working experience Ceilings, Paint works and Waterproofing.
- Must be able to weld.
- General "handyman" knowledge such as electrical/plumbing/paving/construction.
- Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word etc.
- Team leader experience.
- Good time management.
- Must be able to work under pressure and still maintain composure and good manners.
- Organizational Skills.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Real-time problem-solving skills.
Qualification

- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical strength and good balance.
- Ability to work at heights for long hours.
- Presentable appearance.
- Non-smoker in good health.
- Self-motivated person who can be proactive.
- Must be able to work with people.
- There will be a 3 month’s probationary period.
