Our client in the Healthcare industry is looking for a Scrum Master to join their Data Management and Analytics department. The ideal candidate would have a Scrum Master Certification (CSM) and be an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). Prior experience in a Data department working in an Agile environment with a background in Microsoft DevOps, data pipelines, machine learning, and reporting and database design principles is essential. This is a permanent onsite position in Sandton with occasional Hybrid working arrangements.
Essential background:
- Bachelor’s Degree at the appropriate NQF level around computer science, software engineering, information technology, or business administration.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master (even in non-data-specific teams) working in Agile environments or in project management roles.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the field of Data discipline. Good exposure to a data environment and a good understanding of data pipelines, machine learning, and reporting.
Advantageous background:
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps and managing product backlogs.
- Familiarity with data tools, programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL), and platforms like SAP BW, SSRS, PowerBi, or Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge:
- Provide support to the ever-evolving strategy of person-centred health and care.
- This role requires substantial expertise in a broad range of software development and programming fields, knowledge of data analysis, data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing.

- Working knowledge and familiarity with data profiling tools.
- Knowledge of the central repository for all significant parts of data.
- Knowledge of data structuring, serialization framework, and optimization of map-reduce/spark jobs running in daily batch jobs.
- Knowledge of how to combine technical and business processes to combine data from disparate sources into meaningful and valuable information.
- The ability to plan, implement, integrate, and control activities and processes to provide golden sources of contextual data.
- Knowledge of trends and developments in the healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of health-related policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Working knowledge of multi/hybrid cloud environments and implementations.
