Cold Storage Supervisor
Our client is a proud supplier of high quality pork to the majority of production and retail outlets in the Western Cape. They are looking for a Cold Storage Supervisor to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Stock control from deboning department to freezers
- Stock control stock booked out from freezers to clients
- Daily livestock figures to management
- To assist with export documents when needed
- Ordering of materials (pallets, etc.)
- To ensure orders are accurate and complete communication to clients and Telesales in the event of shortages
- Be able to work in cold conditions (+5 to -25 degrees)
- Work overtime when needed
- Monthly stock take
- Financial year end stock take
- Time and attendance of employees in department
- Record keeping of all returns and the inspection of the quality of the returns in conjunction with the Quality Control employees
Desired Experience & Qualification
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 3 - 4 Years experience in a similar position
- Basic knowledge of pork products / cuts
- Able to maintain discipline in the department
- Sober habits
- Able to concentrate and work under pressure
- Computer literate (MS Office and Abaserve)
- Good communication skills on all levels
- Good mathematical skills
- Good timekeeping
