PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide technical assistance to the processing centre and sales ensuring optimal utilisation of equipment and maximum throughput.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Process Management
- Manage throughputs for defined IPC processes. (Analyses scheduled expectancies for each defined process.)
- Provide technical assistance on all equipment and software within the Processing Centre as required.
- Evaluate job requirements and recommend best methodologies and equipment to be used in order to maximise throughput and accuracy.
- Provide technical support to clients onsite and telephonically.
- Ensure maximum uptime of equipment by overseeing scheduled maintenance and servicing processing equipment.
- Report on scheduled maintenance and consumable utilisation of processing equipment to the Processing Centre Manager.
- Assist in evaluating job requirements in order to recommend preferred methodology and equipment to be used.
- Assist sales in presenting IPC processes and software applications.
- Assist with the setup of equipment and software for new projects.
- Assist with the setup of new equipment and software implemented in IPC.
- Knowledge of Networking and software platforms.
- Data analysis and merging.
- Importing and uploading of data.
- Must be able to problem solve.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
People Management
- Ensure that staff is trained, skilled and that their expertise is optimally applied.
- Ensure that the working environment contributes to improve staff morale and increase productivity.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Project Management Diploma or relevant IT Diploma.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience.
- Minimum 3 years technical experience in a document processing environment.
- Experience using Microsoft SQL and Access databases will be advantageous.
- Technical expertise in Data Management will be beneficial in contributing to the improvement of our Image Processing Centre.
- Problem-solving abilities will be crucial in this role, allowing you to address challenges efficiently and fine-tune solutions that will enhance our processes.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence with your own vehicle.
