Job Description
Main Objectives
Slicing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the bread slicing process in the production department by ensuring that quality bread is packed and sliced in full and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that bread into / out of the cooler is of the right standard.
- Ensure that wrapper equipment is operating correctly (thickness are equal, plastic sizes are correct
- Ensure that correct quick locks are used
- Ensure that correct sell by date is printed accordingly
- Ensure the usage of the clean unbroken crates
- Ensuring all bread is sliced and packaged to meet quality and food safety standards
- Facilitate Invocoms
- Manage corrective discipline of the shift and training of new staff
- Eradication of damages continuously
- Maintain required through-put to dispatch
- Maintaining equipment and troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Ordering of packing material from stores
- Reporting to Production Manager of shift performance and any obstacles timeously
Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12 with numerical ability and PC Literacy
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position in the FMCG industry with sound knowledge of production and food safety.
