Two CCMDD Pharmacists positions exist within Medipost reporting directly to the CCMDD Production Operations Manager. These positions are based in Pretoria, Gezina.
Labelling and Packing of Parcels
To maintain a minimum average of 55 scripts per hour as per production requirements while ensuring work is processed according to priority scheduled collection date, ensuring that the daily targets are reached (440/495 scripts). Ensuring that all the PMP handled are neat, correctly labelled, belong to the correct group box & manifest, and no peeling of PMP sticker (written warning to be issued for service failure error).
Accuracy and Neatness
Maintain a high level of accuracy and neatness (avoid errors), mixing of stock (ensuring replenishment of stock according to the correct province after QA check of that particular province is done) – no incidents reported.
Procedures
Work strictly according to department SOPs. Ensure all company policies are adhered to at all times. Ensure that the housekeeping procedure is as per SOP daily, which includes: declustering of the stations, no boxes (medication) on the floor, no open sharp blades, boxes packed in order, and stationery neatly packed.
Leave Management
Ensure planning of leave in advance to avoid leave clashing – being organised to avoid negatively impacting operations.
Reports Management (Workflow Reporting)
Prioritising work correctly (management of work in progress) as per collection date and handover to courier. Management of ‘urgents’ (ensuring that they are handed and arranged; delivery date must be communicated to the patient via call centre if late/out of SLA). Correction of errors, knowledge of communicating with supporting departments such as IT, Call Centre, Order Processing, Document Workflow, Consumables Team, Couriers (Medilog & Skynet), Risk Team (arranging for OT on Saturday & Sunday), Warehouse, Provincial Coordinators (Province Communication Group EC, FS, MP).
Professionalism
Good relationship with colleagues to encourage staff morale.
Stock Management
Replenishing stock in the correct province, FIFO-FEFO, drug interactions, claiming error alert, dispensing correctly (measurement of error rate). Signing off stock from the warehouse (receiving) and from stock returns. This includes management of consumables (ordering of boxes).
Working Under Pressure
Maintaining the balance between quality and quantity due to the high-level pressure in the production environment – targets reached daily (deadline-oriented).
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Pharmacy.
Registered as a Pharmacist with the SAPC.
Experience:
1 to 2 years of experience (including internship and community service).
Previous experience in a Pharmacy QA/Production Environment.
