The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing multiple webshops to ensure high performance, seamless user experience, and continuous sales growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with e-commerce expertise to manage product catalogs, implement effective marketing strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to drive online sales. The role holder will focus on enhancing the overall online shopping experience, monitoring site performance, and ensuring that all e-commerce platforms align with the company’s growth objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- E-commerce Strategy and Optimization: Develop and execute e-commerce strategies to optimize the performance of webshops, improve customer experience, and drive revenue growth.
- Webshop Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple webshops, including site maintenance, product updates, and user interface optimization to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
- Product Catalog Management: Manage and maintain product catalogs, including updating product information, pricing, and availability. Ensure that product descriptions and images are accurate and optimized for sales conversion.
- Marketing Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with marketing teams to implement digital marketing strategies, including promotions, email campaigns, and paid advertising, to drive traffic and increase conversion rates.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze key webshop performance metrics such as traffic, conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and sales revenue. Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
- User Experience (UX) Optimization: Continuously improve the user experience by optimizing webshop design, navigation, and checkout processes to increase customer satisfaction and reduce cart abandonment.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, IT, customer service, and product teams to ensure that all webshop operations are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- E-commerce Platform Management: Ensure that all webshops are fully functional and up to date, working with IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve platform performance.
- Sales Growth and Conversion Optimization: Implement strategies to increase conversion rates, upsell products, and improve customer retention, driving overall sales growth across all webshops.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, E-commerce, Business, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience managing e-commerce platforms, preferably with multiple webshops or brands.
- Proven experience in e-commerce strategy development, product catalog management, and digital marketing execution.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento.
- E-commerce Expertise: Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, online sales strategies, and webshop operations, with experience managing product catalogs and optimizing user experiences.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to grow online sales and improve webshop performance.
- Digital Marketing Skills: Experience implementing and managing digital marketing campaigns, promotions, and other strategies that drive traffic and sales.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) and an understanding of website functionality, UX design, and optimization techniques.
- Analytical and Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with the ability to track performance metrics, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions to improve webshop performance.
- Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, IT, and product teams.
