The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarised below, but not limited to:
- Assist the discipline Manager in various design and administrative duties.
- Design / manage design by others, of the civil and structural works in accordance with the requirements of the client.
- As Lead Engineer oversee and coordinate the execution of civil and structural engineering on projects.
- Compile man hour estimates in accordance with the Clients enquiry.
- During the course of the contract assist with monitoring the contract schedule and budget and make recommendations for appropriate action as and when required.
- Do the Civil and Structural engineering portion of Conceptual and Basic Engineering packages as per the Clients’ enquiry.
The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) and be a Registered Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
7 -15 years’ experience in the industrial engineering environment and Petro-Chemical plants with the emphasis on reinforced concrete and structural steel engineering is essential.
