The Role
As a Cyber Security Analyst, reporting to the Director of Architecture, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to cyber threats and incidents that affect our network and systems.
You will also coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks and assist with compliance activities.
You will work closely with other security, engineering, and product teams to develop and implement security policies, procedures, best practices and to support security audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and analysing Cyber Security events and incidents that occur on the network and systems.
- Identifying and responding to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
- Supporting security assessments and tests
- Developing and maintaining cybersecurity analytics reporting to enable business posture and operational improvement
- Supporting internal and external security related assurance activities as applicable for relevant business areas
- Identification, reporting and documentation of security issues, incidents, and resolutions relevant to the business and its operations
- Supporting and enabling security awareness within relevant areas of the business and its operations
- Industry and market research on the latest security trends, threats, and solutions as relevant and applicable and their implementation into business and operational improvement efforts
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- You have at least 3 years of experience in security analysis, incident response, or a similar role.
- You have strong knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, and encryption, AWS
- You have experience with security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR
- You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- You have a security certification, such as GSEC, or are willing to obtain one
- You can collaborate with senior stakeholders effectively to establish relationships and become a trusted advisor, providing pragmatic, proportionate advice on security risk management
- You are initiative-taking and with a desire to continually learn
