At AESG we are looking for a Fire & Life Safety Designer to be based in Cape Town and work alongside our other specialist disciplines.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Fire & Life Safety Designer seeking professional development within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and edit drawings and sketches in compliance with AESG CAD Standards and detailing practices
- Fire and Life Safety Drawing review and preparation of drawing and reviews for authority submission and approval
- Produce accurate and timely CAD drawings and models to agreed deadlines
- Work on all matters pertaining to Auto CAD and its relevant documentations for fire and life safety
- Meet the timelines set for the generation of all fire and life safety designs
- Keep traceability and version control for all generated design and technical submittals
- Prepare Tender Documents Submittals as per project requirements
- Contribute to the successful delivery of projects
- Actively pursue continued professional development through completion of training modules
- Engage in the implementation and maintenance of the IMS and its processes and in achieving expected outputs
- Conduct all their activities in a quality, healthy and safe manner and report any observed problems/risks to the concerned head or personnel
- Exert all efforts to contribute to the success and continual improvement of the IMS

Must have/be:
- Diploma or BSc (BEng) in Architecture Engineering preferred
- Technical skills CAD Design
- Analytical skills and ability to independently carry out project sub tasks
- Sound technical knowledge in Fire Safety/Engineering within Residential, Commercial and Hotels sectors
