IoT Developer Position

Our client in the Northern Suburbs is looking for a young vibrant person to join their software company as an IoT Developer.
Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of professional experience in IoT development advantageous.
- Proficient in Linux operating system and its various distributions. Strong programming skills in Python. Experience with scripting languages for automation.
- Familiarity with IoT communication protocols such as MQTT and HTTP. Experience with IoT platforms and frameworks, such as MQTT broker implementations, AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT advantageous.
- Knowledge of embedded systems development and Teltonika advantageous. Experience with microcontroller programming and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and DHCP. Ability to troubleshoot network-related issues in an IoT context.
- Knowledge of IoT security best practices. Experience implementing security measures in IoT applications and devices.
- Familiarity with database systems and ability to design and implement data storage solutions for IoT devices.
- Understanding of various sensors and actuators commonly used in IoT applications. Experience interfacing sensors and actuators with IoT devices.
- Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to document and present technical information clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex IoT systems.
- Experience in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently.
- Implementing testing strategies for IoT applications, including unit testing and integration testing.
