Nature Connect’s EdTech programme, Sustainable Schools, is seeking a Programme Implementation Coordinator, who will be instrumental in implementing the Sustainable Schools Programme across South Africa. You will manage and support our School Coordinators, ensuring high-quality service delivery while building strong relationships with schools and partners. This position involves hands-on work both online and in the field, driving programme success and offering opportunities for career advancement.
This position reports to the Programme Operations Coordinator who will provide you with the support and guidance needed to thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme delivery: Collaborate with leadership to achieve objectives, set annual targets for school registrations and participation and assist with the programme implementation strategy.
- Team management: Manage and mentor School Coordinators, monitor performance, and assist with HR processes such as drafting contracts and conducting performance reviews.
- Budget and financial management: Assist in drafting and managing budgets aligned with programme goals.
- Programme monitoring and evaluation: Implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes and compile reports on the programme’s impact and progress.
- Partnership development: Grow and manage relationships with programme partners, alongside the Data and Partnership's Coordinator.
- Training and development: Conduct staff training on new processes and programme changes. Collaborate with the leadership team, content creators, and learning designers to create content for workshops. Lead the planning, development, and execution of workshops and events.
- CRM and technology oversight: Oversee effective use of CRM systems for programme efficiency.
- Marketing and content generation: Assist in promoting the Sustainable Schools Programme through marketing initiatives.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Environmental Studies, Sustainable Development, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- 4+ years’ experience in project management, utilising tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Zoho.
- 2+ years managing teams, with a proven ability to mentor and enhance performance.
- Experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes to track programme progress and impact.
- Knowledge with budget planning and management ensuring that resources align with programme goals.
- Proven track record of cultivating and managing partnerships, working alongside key stakeholders to enhance programme delivery.
- Good understanding of the South African education system.
- Valid driver’s license with 2 years of driving experience and a willingness to travel within South Africa.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in developing and implementing strategies for measurable outcomes.
- Previous oversight of national programme delivery.
- Leadership experience in managing change and fostering adaptability.
- Proficiency in at least one South African language in addition to English.
- Project Management certification.

Position Type:
Two-year contract with the possibility of renewal.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Basic Monthly Salary: R25,000 – R30,500
