- Introduction to Change Management
- Industrial Engineering Experience in logistics environment: > 5 years
- Advanced Excel: > 3 years experience
- Intermediate Autocad skills: > 1 year experience
- Detail oriented
- High work rate and quality of work
- Must have experience across multiblade logistic activities / verticals
- Ability to learn new software applications
- Ability to design programmes and strategic work group directives for both White collar and Blue collar
- Ability to lead 3+ Senior Engineers in their work directive and create traction on projects that affect multiple managers and staff groups

Main purpose of the role
With context to the Retail Warehouse Logistics environment:
- Review analysed data, processes and material flow related to complex operations in order to identify improvement opportunities.
- Drive and support multiple initiatives that have been identified for implementation to bring quantitative benefits of change to the organization.
- Develop and support multiple business cases for financial investments where required, including ROI calculations, quantified value, productivity improvements, etc.
- Documenting, monitoring and communicating and supporting multiple project timelines, milestones and objectives.
- Follow and guide disciplined change management process to ensure that implemented changes are sustainable.
- Lead, design and support problem solving facilitation and training.
- Working closely with Project & Implementation, Solutions & Pricing & Applications Engineering teams to ensure standardization of best practices in DSV.
- Training on Lean, Six Sigma & Change Management.
- Drive the coaching of staff on Job clocking and Resource Planning.
- Drive and support implementation of automation and mechanization initiatives.
- Support major changes (tactical) within the warehouse with regards to processes, MHE, WMS, automation and mechanization.
- Manage and grow multiple senior and junior logistic engineers.
- Manage a team of Industrial Engineers in various locations across South Africa to achieve CIP strategy and targets.
- Liaise with global Sigma and Innovation Teams to bring new technologies / innovations to improve business productivity.
- Identify and drive Sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with development and growth of e-commerce in existing clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for implementation of a CIP programme led by multiple engineers that should be led through related studies and other methodologies (5S, Lean, TOC, etc.) that in turn lead a cross-functional team to ensure implementation of projects.
- Initiatives may include, but are not limited to: receiving, binning, picking, kitting, sequencing, slotting, design, planning, scheduling, benchmarking, team problem solving, layout design, measurement and improvement of KPI’s, automation and process flow improvement.
- Use data to analyze and identify cross-functional areas of improvement and where engineers and sites can learn from one another.
- Use Project Management techniques to drive continuous improvement projects.
- Actively contribute to initiatives from the site and/or business unit engineering teams.
- As required support the review and analyze of data, processes and material flow.
- Implement initiatives and monitor quantitative benefits of changes.
- Develop and support multiple business cases for financial investments where required, including ROI calculations, quantified value, productivity improvements, etc.
- Document and lead team of engineers to communicate project timelines, milestones and objectives.
- Conduct and lead programme on training sessions and assist in coaching of employees on Lean and Problem Solving principles.
