The same production kitchen also provides catering & PRIVATE CHEFFING for off-site requirements such as small private residences, corporate clients as well as private parties, small intimate weddings and functions at luxury homes and spectacular destinations for magazine photo shoots, interior design promotions catalogues, realtor brochures etc.
ProStaffSelect are in search of a CHEF TOURNANT / JUNIOR SOUS to assist with & oversee daily production of all COLD and HOT items and to supervise kitchen operations and function service set-ups.
Please note that this is NOT a BUFFET MENU PRODUCTION KITCHEN.
REQUIREMENTS:
- OWN TRANSPORT with valid driver’s license is ESSENTIAL
- Minimum 2 or 3 year recognized professional / formal culinary qualification with 3 years’ work experience in a high-pressure fine dining kitchen
- Culinary strengths in Cold & Hot production essential.
- A confident personality is needed to handle the fast pace and demands of this kitchen
- Effective communication skills and proficient in English AND Afrikaans with an outgoing and friendly personality.
- Must be able to THINK ON YOUR FEET with little time to waste.
- Extremely organized and a methodical worker
- Excellent personal hygiene and be able to work cleanly at all times on your section
