JOB PURPOSE
To plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate the operational, financial and sales activities within Company and the framework established by the board of directors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Financial Planning
- Driving the company’s financial planning
- Determine, implement, monitor, review and evaluate budgetary and accounting strategies, policies and plans in consultation with other managers
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-term planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action
- Provide financial information and interpreting the implications for business performance and funding needs
- Coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of accounting and business systems and processes
- Direct the preparation of financial reports summarizing and forecasting the organization’s financial position such as income statements, balance sheets and analyses of future earnings and income
- Assess capital finance proposals and the financial status of operational projects
- Advise on investment strategies, sources of funds and the distribution of earnings
- Deliver long range profit forecasts, budgeting and financial reports
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
- Manage business information strategy and the development and implementation of business systems to assist with analytics
- Provide business insights to different business units and entities to assist with forecasting and predictive decision making
Operations Management
- Review operational expenditure budgets to support growth strategies, in conjunction with Financial Director
- Drive the implementation and provision of sound financial, Business Intelligence and CRM management services to the organization
- Ensure the provision of financial and material resources to support operational strategies
- Ensure adequate procurement practices and vendor management
- Manage relationship with service provider and other agreed stakeholder management across the entire business
- Develop and implement objectives, strategies and budgets
Strategic cost management
- Business optimisation including quality, and not at expense of effectiveness
- Drive continuous OPEX improvement and ensure optimal allocation
- Define Policies, Processes and procedures to streamline the Business Unit and optimize efficiencies
Risk Management
- Identify potential and current risks
- Develop and implement policies to mitigate potential risk
- Report identified risks to relevant stakeholders and action plans thereof
- Deciding on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risk
- Performing risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
Corporate Governance
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Board and Shareholders so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions
- Provide Leadership with advice on the financial implications of business activities
- Ensure credibility of Finance department by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
- Ensure the organisation complies with statutory legislation and corporate governance frameworks
- Accountable for the formulation of policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and ensure implementation thereof
- Preparation of Board Packs for SA Distribution to ensure accurate reporting of company information to relevant stakeholders

- Matric
- Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) preferably CA
EXPERIENCE
- Strong operational experience
- Minimum of 10+ years in a senior finance role
