We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with experience in UPS (uninterruptible power supply) business to oversee and streamline our organization's operational processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, improving performance, and ensuring that business operations align with the strategic goals of the company.
Skills and Experience
What you’ll do:
- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision.
- Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
- Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
- Support worker communication with the management team. Be able to accept criticism and build a forward strategy from it.
- Establish governance processes to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organisation’s resources are used responsibly.
- Lead and/or support the implementation of business compliance and risk programs.
- Maintain relationships of trust and respect with key internal and external stakeholders. Customer service needs to be a primary focus, for both existing customers and future prospects.
- Lead and manage teams, ensuring that people-related issues are dealt with appropriately, driving a performance culture throughout the business.
- Drive transformation in the business, ensuring that the relevant transformation requirements of EOH are supported in all people-related processes.
- Deep understanding of UPS and batteries (VRLA and Lithium-Ion) technologies, including online, offline, and line-interactive systems. Familiarity with various brands and models, including configuration and troubleshooting to provide technical support and guidance for technicians when troubleshooting.
- Onsite UPS sales support when salespeople are selling solutions, addressing customer technical questions and specifications for sizing of the solution, both UPS and battery requirements, according to load, future expansion, and conversion of solution from VRLA to Lithium.
- Must be available as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and minimal disruption to their business at all times.
Your expertise:
- Function related (UPS and batteries) experience: 5+ years
- Leading teams: 2-5 years
- Project experience: 2-3 years
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- Certifications related to UPS systems (e.g., Certified UPS Technician, electrical safety certifications) are a plus
