As a member of our Food Safety Knowledge team, your work will be multidisciplinary and adapted to client needs. We spend time preparing reports, interfacing directly with clients, helping them understand their results, evaluating regulatory compliance and toxicological risk based on well-established models, as well as interacting directly with the laboratory and production team to prioritize workflows. Tasks include:
- Stay up to date and share information with team and clients regarding regulatory changes that impact food safety
- Communicate complex technical information internally and externally to a wide range of audiences (technical and non-technical)
- Oversee projects related to client needs (research, development, studies, etc.) and maintain internal results database used to create reports
- Assess and interpret case-critical findings and provide consulting directly to clients regarding viable solutions
- Review and apply client specifications to laboratory results, and update procedures when necessary
- Participate in proposal workflow for new clients (cost estimates, planning, and timelines)
- Answer phone, email and in-person questions from our client. Serve as a personal representative for advice and guidance
Successful completion of university degree in Food Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Science with a focus on food analysis, or equivalent. Recent graduates (entry level) are encouraged to apply.
A successful candidate must have:
- A high willingness to identify with the company, as well as a talent for organization, team spirit, communication skills and an independent working style
- A high mental flexibility and capability to quickly adapt to different challenges
- Experience with MS-Office applications for routine tasks
- A good capacity to resolve problems proactivity
- An Organized and methodical workflow
- Good communication skills (listen well and transmit messages appropriately)
- Conversational German skills (B2 or better) and
- Conversational English skills (B2 or better)
An ideal candidate will also meet some of the following preferred qualifications:
- Experience or great interest in related food laws, food safety, as well as general technical know-how
- Familiarity in dealing with customers from the sectors of producing industries, retail, traders, importers and exporters
- Experience with laboratory information and management systems and databases
- Experience with quality assurance systems
- Conversational skills in Spanish; willingness to travel, especially to Spain.
- Availability to work in Kleinmachnow
Languages
Intercultural competence, good German skills and English skills (B2 or better) are a prerequisite.
