Qualifications and experience
Matric is essential
Relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage
Own transport, drivers license and valid passport
Minimum of 5 years export sales experience is required
Exports sales experience in either manufacturing / engineering / mining / agricultural / FMCG / Retail industries will secure
Regular travel is required into East African countries (Zambia, Malawi, Nigeria, Mozambique, DRC etc)
This position is to start in January / February 2025.

Quoting area specific export accounts
Quoting all customers in appointed markets
Reconciliation of area account debtors
Back up / support of Export Controller when required
Back up / support of Export Traders when required
Booking of orders into SYSPRO & Export Procedure
Credit cover application
Marketing and Selling of full product range
Reporting to Export Management:
Country and customer visits / Trip reports
Risk and cost analysis reports
Market specific SWOT
Expense reports
Monthly sales reports
Sales budgeting
Account / territory / category planning
Expense budgeting
Strategic planning reports and implementation
Proposal generation
Ensure profitability of export department
Customer service and relations
Establish and grow markets
Export file maintenance
Customer file maintenance
Communicate customer requirements to export / stores and manufacturing departments
Sale presentations
Minimum requirements
Sound knowledge of export procedure
Sound knowledge of country specific requirements (inspection, fumigation, routing, GSP, etc)
Sound knowledge of Export Documentation Software
Sound knowledge of SYSPRO
Sound product knowledge
Sound knowledge of sales technique
Abilities required
Full working knowledge of export department procedures, from inquiry to payment completion.
Sound knowledge of export payment procedures (TT, Letter of Credit, Etc)
Sound knowledge of company policy
Sound knowledge of entire export customer base & customer specific requirements
