Your role
- This position is to follow and support the Atlas Copco Group values of Interaction, Commitment and Innovation. Communications Manager supports the Vice President Sub Saharan Africa Holding in all operational related to the Communications issues in Sub Saharan Africa Region and should adhere to the Code of Conduct as per Atlas Copco Group guidance.
- To strengthen the value of the brands used by Atlas Copco Group in Sub Saharan Africa through a focused, attractive and trustworthy communication. Your biggest challenge is to always keep the customer and future employee perspective in all our communications.
- Support the region in Sub Saharan Africa on Communications related issues.
- Sustainable Profitable Growth - Support this major goal through innovated communication development across the region.
- Work close with the Communication networks from Corporate, BA, Division and other Holdings to extend our communication footprint, efficiency and development.
- Focusing on corporate communications, tightly linked with the Group’s Corporate Communications department in Sweden, you will oversee strategies and activities related to brand positioning, web presence, media relations, corporate publications, as well as with coaching and quality control.
- To safeguard professional communications in Sub Saharan Africa overall, you will work closely with the General Managers in Customer Centers. The Customer Centers are in charge of exhibitions, customer events, product launches and more.
- Digitalization – digital transformation to be set on the highest priority level.
- Oversee the website developments of the individual countries in the region - Improvements on measurable website activities are key to further success.
- We expect that Social media activities in the region should be transferred to a high-ranking activity.
- Work closely with communications function & HRs in the region to ensure employer branding initiatives take place internal and external employees.
- Support the internal and external communications as well as Corporate advertising.
- Competence development activities and support is a fundamental target to support the individual communication managers in the region.
- Holding Sharepoint – set up & improve the regional sharepoint and ensure that this is maintain. Create a communication campaign to roll out awareness and use the Sharepoint.
- Now that we have established ROMI within the region – further strong development is needed.
- Increase your networking understanding within the group – learn from best practice.
- Crisis management: Ensure the establishment of local crisis committees and coordination of those when needed, including preparations and appropriate training as well as ensuring that Business Continuity Plans are in place.
- Corporate Responsibility: Safeguard that we are good corporate citizens and that we build relations locally with authorities, international communities, etc.
- Internal communications: Channel for internal common news and crisis communications to all employee.
- Communications and branding: Coordinate Media relations, web communications, future employee communications (employer branding), brand positioning and identity.
To succeed, you will need
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Qualification in relevant marketing and communications and or related.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, regional or global environment.
- Strong communications skills, interpersonal skills, public relations.
- Fast adjustment with Digitalization platforms.
- Service-minded with a high level of integrity.
- The ideal candidate must be collaborative, open-minded and resourceful.
- Customer orientated with an auto-address way of working. Good at planning and executing tasks with high professionalism standards. Always having an innovative and solution-oriented approach to work. Excellent at communication skills and interaction with others.
