Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Workshop Department to lead and manage departments within our jewellery manufacturing workshop. This pivotal role requires a strong background in manufacturing, coupled with significant management experience. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, and leading a dedicated team to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Oversee and lead the workshop team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team members meet their full potential.
- Manufacturing Operations: Manage all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material sourcing to finished product. Implement best practices to optimize production efficiency, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to enhance production capabilities, reduce costs, and improve overall workshop performance. Collaborate with senior management to align departmental goals with company objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Implement rigorous quality control processes and address any issues that arise promptly.
- Innovation & Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production methods, technology, and product offerings.
- Resource Management: Oversee inventory management, equipment maintenance, and procurement of materials. Ensure that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
Requirements
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of managing a workshop or production team.
- Management Skills: Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
