As the Project Finance Transactor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess project feasibility, profitability and risk
- Design optimal financing structures that align with project needs, including debt and equity financing
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on projects
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and financing
- Lead negotiations with financial institutions and investors to finalize terms and conditions of financing agreements
- Prepare and review transaction documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Oversee the financial performance of projects post-financing
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions and regulatory changes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on project status, financial performance and potential risks
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in project finance (preferably within Independent Power Producers or financial institutions)
- Proven experience in developing and analyzing financial models
- Transaction experience
Qualification:
- Qualified CA(SA)
- Relevant finance or accounting degree
