A leading retailer in South Africa is looking for a Financial Manager to join their team. This role is open to candidates who have completed their articles and boast some commercial experience, with a track record of managing people and performing at a high level within an unstructured environment.
Create and manage GL accounts and reporting structure data systems
Recording of financial transactions
Responsible for theprocessing of financial transactions
Weekly analysis of income and expenses, compare budget vs actual
Reconciliations of bank and cash transactions
Review debtors and creditors' aging
Monthly management accountant journals
Ensure correct management of all balance sheet control accounts
Update fixed asset transactions
Manage internal control procedures and compliance with relevant accounting standards
Propose and implement improved control procedures
Monitor working capital
Manage Capex spend vs budget and reporting on variances
Prepare management accounts, EXCO and quarterly Board packs
Manage annual budget process
Collate reports for Group Management reporting and prepare Group Financial reports
Statutory year end reporting
Effective leadership of finance team and performance outcomes
Drive process improvements and implementations
Lead ops strategies to support business growth
Staff management
Qualification:
Completed BCom or equivalent
Completed SAICA/ SAIPA articles OR CIMA / ACCA
