Senior Professional Nurse

Our client, a highly regarded Private Hospital, is seeking to employ a dynamic and energetic Senior Professional Nurse. The aim of this position is to ensure a safe, positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in the coordination of patient care and management of the unit.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
- Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety and facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
- Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
- Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged.
Job Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in General Nursing.
- Midwifery.
- Postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty area.
- 3 years post-qualification experience.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Pharmacology.
- Nursing record keeping.
- Nursing processes and procedures.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
- Relevant nursing legislation.
- Infection prevention and control.
- Scientific nursing principles and processes.
- Audit patient records.
- Patient assessment skills.
- Develop/modify a nursing care plan.
- Scope of practice for nurse practitioners.
- For specialized wards; ACLS; ATLS; PALS trained.
- Risk identification.
- Analyzing and interpretation skills.
- Basic life support trained.
- Mentorship.
