Delivery Manager Job Description
If you are an intermediate to senior Delivery Manager, with project management experience but your curiosity extends beyond that – then we have an opportunity for you! We are looking for a team player to join our Product team. As the Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the seamless execution and delivery of IT projects, serving as an IT Project Manager and Scrum Master. Your primary focus will be on overseeing multiple project lifecycles and managing internal staff, client, and 3rd party stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of features - we are a lot more than just the Zapper App! We are looking for someone who is not afraid of a challenge and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Project planning:
- Assign tasks to various internal / external stakeholders
- Estimate timelines and costs involved
- Communicate project plan to necessary stakeholders
- Maintain and update the project plan
- Client and 3rd Party Relationship Management:
- Identify all the stakeholders involved in the project
- Understand client and 3rd party relationships needs and expectations
- Ensure signed Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with 3rd parties are obtained
- Ensure effective communication between client/3rd parties and Zapper staff
- Provide timely feedback to clients/3rd parties regarding project status updates and timelines
- Effectively manage client and 3rd party relationships
- Assist with stand up
- Assist with sprint planning
- Assist with maintaining the Azure boards
- Lead retrospectives to identify operational blind spots and implement necessary improvements
- Identify areas for improvement in the development processes to assist the team to improve their velocity
- Engage other squads where there are squad interdependencies or assistance required from other squad resources
- Obtain test credentials and/or test data from 3rd parties to facilitate effective testing processes
- Identify and communicate any risks affecting the team’s ability to deliver
- Assist with unblocking any issues the team is facing
- Change management:
- Conduct thorough business change impact assessments and ensure the necessary changes are implemented
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with 3rd parties are created
- Ensure risk and compliance requirements associated with IT projects are met
- Ensure support team's requirements (e.g., support tool enhancements, FAQs, expected error scenarios) are met
- Ensure banking team's requirements (e.g., encompassing things fraud avoidance, switching, routing, compliance, escalation paths) are met
- Ensure various internal teams have been trained on the new product solution, outlining impacts on existing/new services, and discussing metrics and monitoring needs
- Ensure Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) have been created
- Ensure product information sheets and training materials have been created
- Ensure Terms and Conditions (T+Cs) relevant to project deliverables have been updated
- Provide project status updates to marketing so that Marketing can develop marketing plans for new releases
- Release Management:
- Ensure that testing has been adequately covered
- Ensure sign off is obtained from 3rd parties
- Attend Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to notify of upcoming releases and gather necessary approvals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective release planning activities
- Facilitate BETA testing / go-live processes
- Post notices of new releases in the Zapper "Release Notifications" Teams chat, keeping all relevant stakeholders informed
- Assist with release notes
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Proven experience in IT project management and Scrum Master roles
- Solid understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and the steps involved
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Required Experience
- Fintech experience is beneficial.

Package & Remuneration
Basic Salary: R55 000 - R80 000pm
