Associate Data Scientist - Elucidate AI
Elucidate AI is looking for a superstar 10 out of 10 to join our team as an associate data scientist. We are looking for an engineer who has an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for problem solving, technical solution creation and business process optimization. We seek someone with an aptitude for product creation and client engagement who will rise to the occasion and challenge us and themselves to think outside the box.
Job Overview
- Working with data engineering and data science teams on technical and strategic planning and execution of department goals
- Perform detailed analysis on microfinance data for the generation of business level recommendations
- Presentation of analysis and recommendations to executive teams
- Implementation of recommendations and evaluation of their performance
- Designing, building and deployment of machine learning models and statistical optimisations in the financial industry
- Investigation of product idea feasibility, MVP scoping and technical development
Academic Background:
- Engineering, mathematics, computer science, or any other STEM related degree (Honours level)
- Graduated with distinction
- Masters degree is advantageous
Experience:
- 1+ year experience in a client facing role presenting analytics to business teams
- 1+ year experience performing analytics, generating findings and implementing improvements
Technical Skills:
- Principle understanding of machine learning and statistics; hands-on experience with machine learning is advantageous
- Experience manipulating data with Python (Pyspark is a plus)
- Data visualisation experience
Soft Skills:
- Great at communicating upwards to executive teams
- Friendly and client centric thinker
- Always keen to learn and push for excellence
