We are looking for Theatre Trained and Experienced Registered Nurses
Join a Private hospital group in Johannesburg.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team to perform surgical procedures on patients successfully.
- Ensure accurate charging by managing clocking time.
- Carry out all departmental duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Provide a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Take responsibility for Theatre and cases on a daily basis where you are allocated.
- Effective Risk prevention and management.
- Attend handover of report at shift commencement.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
- Refer all complaints from patients and doctors to sister-in-charge of the unit/CNS.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining competence in theatre processes.
- Mentor and supervise junior healthcare providers and support staff.
- Facilitate a learning environment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 or NQF level 4 qualification.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
- Post basic qualification in Operating theatre will be an added advantage.
- 2 years or more general theatre experience essential.
- Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation (SANC).
