Audit Manager Position
Our client in the Financial Services industry is currently looking for Audit Managers in Cape Town.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the audit team, providing direction, supervision, and review for each audit assignment.
- Ensure overall audit quality standards are met for all engagements.
- Support business development and build client relationships as key aspects of the role.
- Manage and maximize the team's use of resources to ensure that audit work is allocated, completed, and delivered to a high grade and quality in a timely manner.
- Build relationships with the teams and serve as the main point of contact for engagement teams regarding the completion and delivery of audit work.
- Support, advise, and monitor team members in the completion and delivery of various audit tasks, conducting thorough reviews of their work.
- Manage and address any issues raised by the engagement teams, ensuring prompt resolution in collaboration with them.
- Support and implement modifications to audit work papers, flagging any areas that could be improved.
- Stay up to date with developments in both local standards and ISA’s through internal research and involvement in local topic teams.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must be a qualified CA(SA).
- 4 years post-article experience with listed entity experience or longer experience in a General Audit environment.
- Knowledge of accounting, auditing, and regulatory professional standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Demonstrated execution of complex projects within timeframes and costs.
- Solid report writing skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent client delivery focus.
- Strong mentorship and coaching ability to improve oneself and others.
- Excellent business acumen.
Package & Remuneration
- R600,000 – R700,000 CTC per annum.
