Business Segment: Group Functions
Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30
To provide efficient and effective Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) management advisory services to support the achievement of the bank's strategy, manage and implement the Bank's DEI strategy for designated Business Units and support designated areas in developing and implementing Employment Equity (EE) Plans and targets, to support the achievement of the SBSA's strategy and meet compliance and legal requirements across geographies, cultures, local business and social contexts.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Degree in Business Commerce, Human Resources, Social Science or equivalent.
Experience required:
• Minimum of 8-10 years demonstrated relevant organisational development experience in a consulting or large, multinational organisation demanding a high level of strategic business partner support.
• Proven experience of working in a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Employment Equity specialist position designing fit-for-purpose DEI solutions, with an effective track record of driving projects within business areas related to DEI topics.
• Ability to guide and support designated Business Units/Group Functions in implementing the bank’s DEI strategy.
• Experience in guiding and advising designated business areas on specific interventions to drive the establishment of an inclusive culture, in line with the Group DEI Strategy and objectives.
• Ability to guide, facilitate, establish and advise on regulatory compliance of Diversity and Inclusion Forums and ensure their effectiveness within the designated business areas.
• Manage, coordinate and monitor the development and implementation of Employment Equity (EE) action plans for the designated Business Units/Group Functions.
• Ability to ensure compliance with provisions of the EE Act and alignment with Standard Bank DEI Strategy and targets.
• Partner with People & Culture Business Partners and CoEs to develop and implement measures to deal with barriers to Employment Equity, including programmes for driving awareness, accommodating employees with disabilities, supporting gender equity and other relevant diversity issues.
• Experience in assisting stakeholders to turn DEI strategies into actionable and measurable initiatives tailored for different cultures, local business and social contexts, monitor progress and adjust where required to ensure that initiatives are tailored and enabled to build appropriate inclusive, equitable and diverse workplaces within SBSA.
• Experience focusing on partnering with business stakeholders, taking a commercial approach, using data & insights.
• Experience within a multinational company working with and influencing senior management teams on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion matters in a complex environment.
