Job Title: Paid Media Specialist
Location: Cape Town / Johannesburg or Remote Working
Overview: Be an integral part of a team that re-shapes the online video market in South Africa. Responsible for managing paid advertising campaigns including the strategy, creation, implementation, and analysis of ad performance across primary platforms. Advise the production pod on content needs and best practice should SEM be creating the ad content.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Designing, executing, and optimizing cutting-edge digital paid campaigns from conception to launch and reporting for YouTube, Google Search & Display (with the help of an external consultant), Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
- Working cross-departmentally to align campaign strategies and goals.
- Providing ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders, including internal teams and clients.
- Defining, measuring, and evaluating relevant paid media KPIs for improvements.
- Building out media buys for various ad platforms and overseeing the day-to-day execution of paid media.
- Overseeing and managing the overall budget for paid media per client.
- Conducting in-depth keyword and website research, ad grouping, and audience targeting to ensure our campaigns meet client objectives.
- Creating and presenting reports to clients on performance.
- Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and strategies.
- Attending client and internal briefings.
- Maintaining all administrative documents, files, and folders for paid media projects.
- Updating any project management tools like Trello and Slack.
- Any other tasks that could reasonably be expected from a paid media specialist.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Completed Matric.
- Social Media Marketing Certification – advantageous.
- 2+ years experience of hands-on digital marketing in paid media - agency experience preferential.
- Strong understanding of YouTube as a brand building platform and its functionalities, as well as best practice for running paid ads on the platform.
- Experience working on Google Ads specifically search and video.
- Experience in managing paid digital accounts.
- Experience in managing paid digital campaigns with performance-driven goals (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn).
- Experience with Google Analytics and how to implement and interpret data.
- Must have a passion for Digital Marketing.
- Must know how to work with budgets and how to allocate them effectively across different types of online media.
- Experience working in a Media Agency within PPC / Google Ads / Search - advantageous.
- Experience within Google Analytics Goals and conversion set up – advantageous.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager and Keyword Planner – advantageous.
- Stable high-speed internet connection.
- Own reliable transport with valid driver's license – essential.
- South African with a valid South African ID.
- An absolute passion for YouTube and online video.
Package & Remuneration
The Position: We’re looking for an energetic Specialist. The pay range on offer is R20,000 to R25,000.00 (Negotiable) Package Per Month.
