Job Description
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities
- Manage accounting operations including billing, A/R (accounts receivable), A/P (accounts payable), and revenue recognition.
- Support in closing of the company’s books in an accurate, timely and efficient way in accordance with IFRS for small and medium sized entities.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation.
- To support in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Create and monitor company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances on a monthly basis.
- Administer loan agreements for company borrowings and collecting moneys owed to the company from customers.
- Accurately carry out various and relevant forms for tax calculations as per tax legislation.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Support in the development and documenting of business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls and process flow.
- Facilitate the delivery of chemical products to customers and ensure that all documentation is prepared and correct
- Manage external relationships and support the appointed accounting firm as well as be a liaison for audit firm.
- Support, understand and implement of the company’s financial strategy.
- Identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business.
- Uphold, safeguard and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity and corporate responsibility.
