The Position
As our Field Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and generating sustainable regional market share by effective execution of sales and marketing plans. You will be managing and developing sales team to maximize the existing business potential. You will play a key role in this mission by working directly with healthcare professionals. You will also educate and support the medical community on best practices, and the most effective methods for treating diabetes.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Build regional sales capability and manage sales team to reach and exceed sales targets of a defined geographical area/territory.
- Develops and ensures execution of sales plans, targets, and budgets within national sales strategy.
- Coaching, development and motivation direct reports in sales team. Create a ‘we are all in it together’ cross functional team spirit within your team and cross functional departments.
- Collects & reports data about customers, sales field activities, competitor’s activities, health care environment developments.
- Effectiveness of sales promotion resources allocation.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we require you to have very good understanding of local pharmaceutical market and strong product portfolio knowledge. You also must have good managerial skills and team building personality focused on coaching and leading to bring effectiveness sales strategies.
To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have:
- At least 5 years of experience in medical sales with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a line manager is required.
- A university degree, preferably in Science, Healthcare, or a related field, is preferred.
- knowledge of MS Office is necessary.
- A driving license and willingness to travel within Western Cape and Port Elizabeth are also required.
As a person, you need to have excellent communication and presentation skills, solution driven people management and coaching skills, customer centric and patient centric mindset, Team Player with ability to make things happen.
