Role Overview:
As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting a team of Residential Childcare Workers to ensure the highest standard of care and guidance for children and young people. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, supervise, and support a team of residential staff to deliver exceptional care.

Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all children in your care.

Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and policies.

Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professional behaviour and practice.

Manage and oversee household activities, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.

Collaborate effectively with external agencies, parents, and other stakeholders.

Participate in sleep-in duties, where required, as part of the 7-day variable shift pattern.
Essential Requirements:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team.

Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

Empathy and a genuine passion for working with children and young people.

A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Flexibility to work a variable shift pattern, including weekends and holidays.
