Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at NHS Trust in Chester. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to patients with mental health conditions.
Job Duties:
Assessing and planning nursing care requirements
Monitoring and administering medication
Building therapeutic relationships with patients
Implementing care plans and evaluating their effectiveness
Providing support and education to patients and their families
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
Required Qualifications:
Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Education:
Completion of a relevant nursing degree
Experience:
Prior experience in mental health nursing
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Empathy and understanding towards patients
Organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing
Working Conditions:
This role involves working on block bookings from 9am to 5pm. The environment may include exposure to challenging situations, requiring a calm and professional approach at all times.
