3/4 Years post trade test experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Maintenance - Attend to breakdowns as specified on Job Cards.
- Diagnose what repair work needs to be performed on the defective plant / machinery.
- Duly complete the necessary repairs by dismantling machinery, replacing defective parts (where necessary) and reassemble.
- Test that the repairs have been completed correctly and that the plant / machinery is operational.
- Ensure repairs are completed with the minimum down time.
- Duly complete and return Job Cards to the Maintenance Planner promptly.
Machine Work - Repair, refurbish or manufacture machine parts on turning, milling or other workshop equipment ensuring that the parts meet specification.
Installation - Install plant or machinery to the manufacturerâs specification. Test to ensure mechanical compliance.
Preventative Maintenance - Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with Job Cards produced by the Pragma System.
- Liaise with the Production Department for plant availability.
- Duly complete and return Job Cards to the Maintenance Planner promptly.
General - Carry out all lawful and reasonable instructions of the Employer. The Employer is represented by the Mechanical Foreman, the Electrical Foreman and the Engineering Manager. The employee shall comply with all reasonable rules, regulations, policies, practices and procedures laid down, from time to time, for the efficient and harmonious operation of the Company.
- Carry out standby duties on a roster basis and respond to all call outs on an urgent basis.
- Be proactive and use own initiative when appropriate.
- Perform the required administrative functions accurately and timeously.
- Plan work and priorities and perform duties in accordance with sound engineering practice.
- Meet prescribed targets.
- Ability to weld.
Safety - Be safety conscious at all times.
- Adhere to Work Instructions, Work Procedures and Safety Standards in a responsible and competent manner. Pay particular attention to the Companyâs Lock Out Procedure.
Housekeeping - Maintain good housekeeping practices at all times.
- Actively participate in the 20 Keys Program and any other workplace improvement program.
