Our Client, a leader in the Manufacturing Industry, seeks to employ a Food Production Supervisor to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in and around the Cape Town area.

Duties & Responsibilities

Be responsible for minimizing manufacturing waste and maximizing productivity.
Develop and maintain audit schedules to ensure all suppliers are evaluated to timescales according to designated risk status.
Lead and facilitate customer inspection of the product and facilities.
Develop production schedules to meet demand while considering factors such as raw material availability, equipment capacity, and workforce capabilities.
Monitor and enforce quality control measures to ensure that food products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards to create a secure working environment.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Oversee and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain an efficient supply chain.
Ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns.
Always be informed about compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Grade 12 (Twelve).
Proven experience in a Food Processing environment with at least 2 (Two) years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of food safety laws and regulations and ability to implement safety protocols.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Ability to work under pressure.
