IT Infrastructure Manager - Logistics Industry
Our reputable Logistics client (specializing in A-grade warehousing and transport logistics) based in Pomona, Kempton Park is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Manager to join their team.
Salary: Market-Related (Depending on Experience)
Objective:
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the infrastructure plan and activities. This includes data centers, servers, databases, applications, wide area networks, local area networks, desktops, printers, telephony, and security, including antivirus and malware. The Infrastructure Manager needs to ensure that the offices can operate effectively and efficiently to achieve strategy. The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the infrastructure architecture, operations, outsourcing agreements, and relationship management with service providers.
Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role at a small to medium company.
- SAP knowledge is a MUST.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a stable and progressive infrastructure architecture for the company.
- Deliver on the infrastructure plan.
- Ensure all infrastructure is available with agreed SLA standards.
- Manage the relationship with service providers.
- Ensure company DRP is implemented and tested annually.
- Develop the infrastructure plan.
- Ensure office connectivity is in place and managed to SLA.
- Ensure network management tools are in place (NMS, proxy server).
- Manage telephony systems per SLA agreement.
- Report on daily, weekly, and monthly stats.
- Manage firewalls and security.
- Ensure LAN and WAN are working to SLA.
- Ensure servers are available to company users as per SLA.
- Manage network partners and report statistics in monthly reports.
- Ensure all systems data is backed up daily and stored in a secure retrievable area.
- Ensure the business continuity plan is in place and tested annually.
- Manage antivirus, malware, and desktop standards and profiles.
- Ensure all updates are installed in a controlled manner (WSUS/WDS).
- Restrict domain logon to company users only.
- Ensure user protection from malware and viruses via recognized anti-virus applications on each PC.
- Implement and manage email security and antispam solutions.
- Maintain office printers/scanners.
- Maintain a support helpdesk available 24/7/365.
- Support analysis and reporting.
- Implement and communicate SLA.
- Monitor and report on any SLA breaches and manage all service providers.
