About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate
will be passionate about water conservation, possess excellent communication skills, and have a proven
track record of exceeding sales targets. As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in
promoting our water metering solutions to clients across various industries, contributing to the
sustainable management of water resources.
Ensuring a long-term profitable strategic partnership with large Key Account customers and a profitable
sale to smaller accounts. Being close to the customers’ everyday challenges & future strategy.
Navigating in complex customer organizations understanding their internal processes, behaviour, and
business models.
Applying a solution selling approach, adding value for both customer and the company.
Interact on relevant levels of customer organization.
Securing competitive advantage and evolve company solutions.
Managing, coaching, and motivating internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
1. Identify and target potential clients in industries such as municipal water management, utilities,
agriculture, and commercial real estate.
-Research and analyse market trends and competitor activities
to identify new business opportunities.
2. Client Relationship Management:
-Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to understand their water metering needs
and provide customized solutions that are sustainable and profitable for both the customer and company.
3. Sales Process Management:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in a timely manner.
4. Sales Performance and Reporting:
-Track and analyse sales metrics, including pipeline activity, win/loss ratios, and revenue forecasts. Provide
regular updates to management on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities.
5. Customer Support:
-Provide ongoing support to client’s post-sale, including troubleshooting technical issues, addressing
inquiries, and facilitating product training as needed.
-Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and
responsiveness.
-Responsible for both new sales and aftersales of meters, solutions, and services for the appointed Accounts.
-Responsible for partner cooperation towards Key Account.
Candidate requirements
Education:
• Matric
• Bachelor level: Commercial education combined with strong technical interest or Technical
education combined with strong commercial mindset or +5 years’ experience in technical
solution BtoB sales.
Experience:
• +5 years’ experience in technical solution BtoB sales .
• Computer literate.
• Technical knowledge about solutions & preferably electricity and water meters.
Knowledge and skills required
• Experience working with customers in large global companies as well as small and medium sizes
companies.
• Technical knowledge about solutions & preferably electricity and water meters
• Contract Management capabilities
• Solution Selling or corresponding sales approach.
• Fluent in one South African language in addition to English – oral & written
• It would be advantageous to possess knowledge and experience of smart metering
• Knowledge of prepaid metering technologies

Additional Considerations
