Job Description: Personal Lines Underwriter
The Personal Lines Underwriter plays a crucial role in supporting Advisers in the personal lines insurance sector. This position is responsible for managing the underwriting process from start to finish, ensuring efficient and accurate service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the personal lines underwriting process, including the preparation of renewals.
- Liaise effectively with clients and Advisers to provide exceptional service.
- Prepare and issue quotations, new policies, renewals, and endorsements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Accurately record details and information in the relevant systems to ensure proper documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- NQF 4 Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (advantageous).
- RE5 Certificate (advantageous).
- A minimum of 3 years experience in personal lines underwriting.
