Our client in the commercial fishing industry is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Production Supervisor guarantees that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflow.
- The supervisor will be multi-skilled, capable to work in different processing areas/lines and adapt to different processes.
- Products and processes will change over the time; therefore, the supervisor must be able to adjust to the new environments quickly.
- Be able to control and manage the different areas inside the production
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Minimum 1-2 years’ Supervisory Experience
- Supervisory Certificate or Supervisory Skills Programme - Advantageous
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within a production manufacturing or processing in cold production environment
- Knowledge of production processes
- Knowledge of food safety and related industry legislation
- Knowledge of efficiency best practices
- Knowledge of Labour legislation (BCEA & LRA)
- Communication skills in English
- Good knowledge of Mathematics, especially for understanding and measuring the different KPI (hourly production, inputs, yields, activity etc.).
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points).
- Understand the importance of processing products efficiently, quickly, safe and with excellent quality level.
