Job Description: Fresh Manager (Retail)
We are seeking an experienced Fresh Manager to oversee the fresh produce, meat, dairy, and other perishable departments in our retail store. As a Fresh Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality products, managing stock levels, and leading a team to provide excellent customer service in all fresh food areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train staff in the fresh departments (produce, meat, dairy, etc.), ensuring excellent performance and customer service.
- Stock & Inventory Management: Oversee ordering, stocking, and rotation of perishable items to maintain freshness and availability, while minimizing waste.
- Quality Control: Ensure all fresh products meet store quality standards, monitoring expiration dates, and removing damaged or spoiled items.
- Merchandising: Design and maintain attractive, well-organized displays that encourage sales and align with store promotions.
- Customer Service: Resolve customer inquiries and complaints regarding fresh food products, providing expert knowledge and recommendations.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all fresh departments follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness to meet health regulations.
- Sales & Performance: Monitor sales data, manage inventory levels, and control costs to maximize profitability within the fresh food sections.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in managing fresh food departments in a retail environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to manage inventory, control waste, and drive sales.
