Managed Talend Solutions, a Business Unit within Datacentrix, is looking for a Senior Systems Business Analyst for one of their clients based in Centurion. This is a short-term contract until March 2025. The Systems Business Analyst will be required to facilitate and coordinate the review of business processes and the alignment of business applications to business processes through JAD (Joint Application Development) design sessions and data gathering from a variety of sources and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Matric plus Bachelor's degree/Diploma or Advanced qualifications in Information Technology/Computer Science
- Business Analysis Certification
- TOGAF certification
- JAD Session Facilitation qualification
- Experienced in running Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for requirement gathering, a methodology that involves the client and/or end user in the design and development of a software application through a succession of collaborative workshops called JAD sessions
- Ability to conduct user requirements gathering sessions with different line function managers and translate the requirements into functional specifications;
- Familiar with functional design documents and how they translate to system functionality;
- Good documentation skills and ability to complete the following documentation: functional design, detailed design, database design, technical architecture design, test scripts, testing procedures, and user training manuals;
- Draw business processes using tools such as Microsoft Visio ;
- Engage in formal and informal knowledge transfer;
- Lead a team and manage project delivery;
- Application development/programming experience on a Microsoft platform;
- Must have skills and experience in designing and implementing IT solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Run JAD sessions with all key business stakeholders.
- Assess the relevance and value-add of the respective systems and recommend new solutions and approaches where necessary;
- Liaise extensively with stakeholders (systems and process owners) in the line function;
- Analyze existing systems and business models;
- Map and document interfaces between legacy systems and new system design processes;
- Translate client requirements into specified project briefs;
- Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability;
- Conduct requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems;
- Present proposals to clients;
- Work closely with colleagues, developers, testers, and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
