This position is responsible for delivering a seamless, efficient warehouse operation (receiving, warehousing, and distribution). Ensure full regulatory compliance on all warehouse processes and activities including adherence to Company policies and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security (HSSE)
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, etc.)
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Facilitate relevant warehouse inspections
- Supervise 3rd party warehousing
- Drive customer requirements/standards
- Provide other services, as the occasion arises
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience within the Warehousing field
- Minimum 3-5 years of functional Management experience
- Ability to manage change in the work environment
- DG compliance knowledge
- SQAS knowledge will be beneficial
- Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good planning skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Travel will be required
