Our client based in the Pinetown area is seeking a detail-orientated and organized bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the financial records, ensuring accuracy, and providing essential support to the team.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in bookkeeping
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, SAGE Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties
- Recording financial transactions on QuickBooks
- Processing/reconciling group bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Processing month end journals
- Processing/capturing invoices/bills etc on QuickBooks
- Reconciling creditor recons and payment listing
- Ensure supplier accounts and ageing are updated
- Reporting and data analysis current and history
- Maintain organized and secure financial filing systems
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Assisting in various financial and Adhoc duties when required
