A well-established automotive and financing services conglomerate seeks to employ a Senior Payroll Administrator to join their head office team based in Johannesburg East. The successful incumbent will possess strong working knowledge of Sage 300 People.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Full payroll function
- Application for tax directives
- Completing statutory returns and handling of statutory payments
- Completing IRP 501 recons and year-end on Easyfile
- Dealing with staff queries
- Garnishees & maintenance orders
- Handling administration of medical aid, provident and funeral funds
- Capturing employee data in respect of engagements, terminations, transfers, and promotions
- Reconciliations of medical aid, provident and other third-party payments
- Importing data
- Checking payroll variances
- Preparing payroll files for finance and producing reports for month-end
- Filing & scanning
Education Requirements:
- Completed Matric (Grade 12)
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or payroll preferred
Job Requirements and Skills:
- 4 to 5 years' experience in a Senior Payroll Administrator position essential
- Sage 300 People working knowledge ESSENTIAL
- Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
- Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience essential
- Proficient in MS packages
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
