Job Description/Responsibilities:
You must know Vodacom Retail sales (Consumer/Enterprise) inside and out and you’re ready to make that next move to a leadership role like no other with a hands-on Franchisee. In this space, you will manage talent, inspire your team and make sure every customer has a great experience. Take a closer look at what the job entails:
- Ensure that every customer has an unforgettable visit and a tailor-made solution for all their needs.
- Guide your Team to build strong relationships with customers, make expert recommendations, and help onboard customers.
- Hire, train, and develop your team (approximately 20 staff), managing time, attendance, and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure the store exceeds sales goals, overseeing all functions from sales and inventory to implementing new store programs and initiatives.
- Manage stock, devices, and accessories daily and weekly, including faulty stock management.
- Administer paperwork via clerks to ensure compliance with Vodacom and internal Business rules.
- Stay current on technology to be an expert for your team and customers.
- Arrange aggressive promotions weekly to drive sales, including social media updates and branding opportunities.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to maintain dummy/live devices.
- Oversee external fiber and new product canvassers.
- Ensure store presentation is optimal, including merchandising and shop fittings.
Qualifications:
You’ve got a lot of responsibility and people looking to you for guidance and leadership. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- MUST have prior sales and Vodacom management experience and knowledge of the mobile corporate/enterprise business sector.
- Experience in consultative sales in consumer and enterprise technology with a record of high achievement.
- Operational, financial, and performance management experience, including managing site profit and loss.
- Ability to lead, develop, and coach people to deliver great results.
- Amazing communication skills with customers and teammates.
- Solid computer proficiency with advanced Excel and Vodacom systems knowledge (UCS, M2.C3D, VPP, and Skyline).
- Matric certification is essential; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Willingness to work retail hours and shifts.
Compensation:
- Competitive base pay (negotiable based on experience) + unlimited commissions (R30,000 to R100,000) + supplier incentives.

HOURS:
Shift A: Monday to Sundays: 8am to 5pm
Shift B: Monday to Sundays: 10am to 7.30pm
Shifts rotate weekly - You work 1 week on shift A and week 2 on shift B. You get 1 day off a week, which includes 3 weekdays and 1 Sunday a month, with a weekend off after probation.
Total of 5 days off a month.
