We're looking for a machinist that can manage the machine shop workflow, including material sourcing, production, and quality control, with minimal guidance. Basically show up and turn metal into chips and finished parts, on time.
We're a smaller team, so it's important that everyone is self-sufficient in their role. That is why the role begins as a 90-day contract. Upon successful completion of the contract period you'll transition to a full-time employee.
Tasks
- Program and Proof G-Code for Components
- Perform Typical Machine Maintenance
- Maintain Adequate On-Hand Materials and Tooling
- Coordinate Production Schedule with Engineering
Shop Equipment & Software
- Solidworks / SolidCAM
- HAAS Dual-Spindle 30SSY CNC Lathe
- Other Misc Shop Equipment
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ Years of CNC Programming & Proofing
- 2+ Years of Setting Up CNC Lathes and Mills (Tooling, Fixturing, etc.)
- 4+ Years of Operating CNC Equipment
- 4+ Years of Production QC
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with SolidCAM / Solidworks
- Experienced in Machining Plastics (Delrin/Acetal, HDPE, etc) and Metals (Aluminum, Stainless)
